TRAINING COST INCLUDES A TEACHER TRAINING MANUAL, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE OTHER REQUIRED READING MATERIALS. REQUIRED READING LIST WILL BE SUPPLIED TO YOU BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION. THE LYN KEHOE POWER YOGA TRAINING MANUAL IS SOLELY FOR YOUR USE, YOU AGREE NOT TO SHARE OR COPY. ALSO INCLUDED IN DAVID KEIL’S ONLINE ANATOMY COURSE AND WORKING WITH INJURIES WORKSHOP.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A SIX MONTH UNLIMITED CLASS PASS, GOOD FOR STUDIO AND LIVE STREAM CLASSES. AS WELL AS, ACCESS TO A PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP WITH PRERECORDED CLASSES FOR 12 MONTHS OR UNTIL YOU COMPLETE TRAINING. WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. BOTH PASSES ACTIVATE ON THE DAY OF YOUR FIRST TRAINING SESSION/MEETING.
A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE WITH YOUR APPLICATION. UPON APPROVAL A $300 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS. BALANCE IS DUE ONE WEEK PRIOR TO FIRST TRAINING SESSION. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AFTER THE FIRST SESSION. IF YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE FIRST SESSION YOU WILL BE REFUNDED YOUR PAYMENT MINUS THE $300 DEPOSIT AND ANY OTHER EXPENSES INCURRED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE COST OF THE MANUAL ($50) AND THE ONLINE ANATOMY COURSE ($75).
I, ________________, UNDERSTAND THAT IF I FULFILL ALL REQUIREMENTS AS OUTLINED IN THE LYN KEHOE POWER YOGA TEACHER TRAINING CERTIFICATION CURRICULUM – THIS INCLUDES ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS, HOMEWORK, WRITTEN TESTS/ESSAYS AND PRACTICAL TESTS, DISPLAYING A THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF ALL MATERIAL AND ABILITY TO APPLY – I WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FOR THE 200 HOUR LYN KEHOE POWER YOGA TRAINING AS EVIDENCE THAT I HAVE MET ALL THESE REQUIREMENTS. I UNDERSTAND A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION IS NOT GUARANTEED IF I DO NOT COMPLETE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED 12 MONTHS FROM THE FIRST TRAINING SESSION. AFTER 12 MONTHS A LATE FEE OF $250 WILL BE APPLIED TO PROCESS ANY LATE TESTS, WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS OR ANY OTHER REQUIRED PAPERWORK THAT IS HANDED IN. ANY ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING SESSIONS WILL BE CHARGED AT $100 PER HOUR.

-12 in person or Zoom training sessions/meetings
-participation in 30 live stream or in studio classes
-completion of 30 prerecorded/home practices class practices
-completion of David Keil’s online yoga anatomy course
-all other program requirements that include reading, written assignments and video submissions of practice teaching
-completion of a final written test and a final practical test
Techniques & Methodology
-yoga practices led by Lyn and the LKPY Team
-alignment of primary power yoga asanas
-how to “read” a pose, modifications of poses
-sequencing principles, learn a standard power yoga sequence
-alignment principles, cuing techniques, how to work the room
-techniques to teach an all levels class, teaching strategies, how to take the student beyond the physical
-create a professional bio and mission statement
-a Facebook and Dropbox account is required
Anatomy & Physiology
-online anatomy course with David Keil
-how to work with injuries, online workshop with David Keil (this is part of the final test)
Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics
-philosophy of power yoga- why power yoga, what it means to be a teacher, power yoga teaching philosophy
-the Yamas and Niyamas- the ethical principles and practices of yoga, applying them to real life and on the mat, understanding the direct correlation between mat practice and life practice
-theming the Yamas and Niyamas, how to write a theme and incorporate it into a power yoga class
-practice teaching, you will be required to submit video recordings of yourself teaching at least one student
-participation in studio and live stream LKPY yoga classes (total of 30)
-a regular home practice, which includes practice of the sequence you will be learning and access to prerecorded classes (total of 30)
-written testing: include essays and questions based on assigned reading, as well as, material covered during training sessions, viewing and written assignment for David Keil’s Working with Injuries online workshop
-practical testing: submission of a video recording teaching the entire power yoga sequence (when available a live community class at the studio or live stream via Zoom with be scheduled instead)
Included in the cost:

~an unlimited class pass to studio and/or live stream classes for six months
~access to a private Facebook group with prerecorded LKPY classes for 12 months or when training is completed, whichever comes first
~David Keil’s Working with Injuries online videos (included as part of your final test)
