Whether a student or a teacher, the practice of yoga is a continuous journey.
Mentoring recreates the traditional yoga model based on a strong and trusted relationship between student and teacher.

 Lyn’s Mentorship Programs are designed to support new and experienced teachers,
as well as students interested in growing and enhancing their yoga practice.

All programs can be modified and adjusted to suit each
student’s particular need or interest. For those that need more flexibility in their schedule, mentoring programs are ideal.
The first meeting is a preliminary session used to determine the suggested curriculum and schedule. Payment in full is due to confirm your first appointment.
Training sessions and meetings take place at the Lyn Kehoe Power Yoga Studio located at 109 Danbury Road in Ridgefield, CT

A Power Yoga Teacher Certification Program
$6500 + CT sales tax
This follows the same curriculum as the weekend/group certification program.
Perfect for those who need a flexible training schedule
and prefer to learn at their own pace.

You have 18 months to complete the program. This can be extended as needed for an additional cost. Schedule is personalized to each individuals needs. Sessions include one-on-one training, non-contact work and participation in Lyn’s yoga classes – an unlimited class pass to the studio is included. When it is available, you may join in current group teacher training sessions as it fits into your schedule.

Upon completion, you will receive a 200-Hour Teacher Training Certificate
and be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.
A tentative schedule will be agreed upon before the first training session.

Teaching Power Yoga
$1250 + CT sales tax
Power Yoga is NOT about how many chaturanga pushups or arm balances we can do.
It IS about whether we can practice calmly and mindfully,
and from a place grounded in truth.

This program is designed for those already certified or teaching.
You will learn the physical and mental philosophy behind Power Yoga – not just can we do a pose, but the why. Through the process of finding your own voice, you will learn how to guide students to connect their yoga practice on the mat to their yoga practice off.

Program Structure:
-6-month program
-Monthly meetings/training sessions (6 one-on-one sessions – 60 minutes)
-Unlimited yoga classes at the studio (with Lyn)
-Unlimited email support
-Recording of three yoga classes (1. initial feedback 2. progress 3. final)
-If available, the teaching of one community class at the studio will replace the final recording

Program Curriculum:
-The 5 Building Blocks of Power Yoga
-Power Yoga Sequence and Sequencing Philosophy
-Power Yoga Teaching Philosophy and Techniques
-Cuing Techniques and Working the Room
-The Yamas and Niyamas – the ethical disciplines and observances of yoga – includes journaling, how to apply them in daily life and how to apply them when teaching
-Creating a class theme for each Yama and Niyama – applying yoga philosophy in a way that is relevant to your students
-Find your voice and learn how to let yourself come through in your teaching

-A training manual is included with the program
-Student is required to purchase the following books: The Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele and Journey into Power by Baron Baptiste.

This program fulfills the Yoga Alliance requirement of 30 CEUs for an RYT to renew his or her registration (required every three years).

Whether you are interested in becoming more comfortable with hands-on assists or want to begin to have a better understanding of alignment and modifications for specific poses,
the program is designed for teachers and students.
30 CEUs (10 contact and 20 non-contact) are available for certified teachers.

Program Structure and Curriculum:
-12-week program
-Six one-on-one sessions (60 minutes) designed for each student. Options include covering alignment, hands-on adjustments and/or modifications for Sun Salute A and B, Standing and Balancing Poses, Twists, Backbends and Hips
-Includes one class a week at the studio (with Lyn)
-Assist in three classes (certified teachers only)

-Online yoga anatomy course with Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews:

Included, you’ll have access to the Asana Library (a collection of 20 poses, each examined in 3 ways):

* Pose-Specific Workshops: each workshop is different, and includes themes like examining how different traditions might approach each pose; talking students through strategies for different body types, etc.

Yoga Anatomy book by Leslie Kaminoff/Amy Matthews is included.

The support you need on the topic of your choosing.
The hourly mentorship option is perfect for students or teachers who do not anticipate the need for a long-term, ongoing support but might have a specific concern or interest.
